Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the PersonalWorth iPhone app and this PersonalWorth privacy and support website. It does not apply to websites or services you choose to visit from a link in the app or on this site.

2. Information stored by the app

The app stores the information you enter on your iPhone, including holdings, valuations, valuation history, goals, debt assumptions, optional birth date, preferences, and subscription entitlement state. This data is used on-device to calculate the dashboards, projections, and debt scenarios you request.

PersonalWorth does not connect to financial institutions and does not upload this information to a developer-operated server. The developer does not collect or sell your portfolio data.

3. Device security and Apple services

Portfolio data is kept in the app’s iOS container and uses Apple’s complete file-protection class. If you enable the app lock, Apple’s Local Authentication framework performs Face ID or device-passcode authentication; PersonalWorth does not receive or store biometric data.

If you enable update reminders, iOS schedules them locally. If you purchase Pro, Apple processes payment and provides the app with verified transaction and subscription-entitlement information needed to unlock paid features. The developer does not receive your full payment-card details.

Depending on your Apple and device settings, iOS may include app data in an encrypted device or iCloud backup. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

4. Exports and sharing

PersonalWorth exports data only when you choose an export or share action. Exported JSON, CSV, or shared summaries may contain sensitive financial information. You choose the destination, and the privacy and security practices of that destination then apply. Store exported files securely.

5. Retention and control

Your information remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, erase the portfolio, or remove the app. You can create a complete backup from Settings before erasing data. Because there is no PersonalWorth cloud account, the developer cannot retrieve or restore a lost local portfolio.

6. This website

This static website contains no advertising, analytics, account system, forms, or tracking scripts. Its hosting and network providers may process ordinary request information—such as IP address, user agent, requested page, and timestamp—to deliver and secure the site. PersonalWorth does not use that information to create advertising profiles or connect website visits to financial data in the app.

7. Children

PersonalWorth is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app’s data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its App Store disclosures as appropriate.
